Your generous support of the American Courage Awards serves to ensure the quality, continuance, and reach of our highly valuable programs to promote justice.
Join Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, and OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates national and DC chapter for a community convening on the census, naturalization, and state and local immigration policies. We will discuss how we can collaborate around each topic and build stronger alliances among Asian American and Muslim, Arab, and South Asian American communities in Maryland.

Washington, D.C. — Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC (Advancing Justice | AAJC) announces today it has awarded five stipends to student leaders to support campus-based projects that elevate Asian American and Pacific Islander stories and experiences and advance dialogue, advocacy, and civic engagement within our communities. These projects will be implemented at Smith College, University of Chicago, University of Colorado, University of Notre Dame, and University of Pennsylvania.

Washington, D.C. — Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC (Advancing Justice | AAJC) will host its 22nd American Courage Awards, an annual event honoring individuals, groups, or corporations for their extraordinary commitment to the cause of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) civil and human rights.
This year’s honorees are Ai-jen Poo, Hari Kondabolu, and Verizon. Cary Chow, a multimedia content creator and former ESPN anchor, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

Among this year’s honorees are the Starbucks Coffee Company, former Congressman Mike Honda, prominent Supreme Court attorney Neal K. Katyal, and co-founder of the Women’s March – Linda Sarsour, were announced today as the honorees for the Advancing Justice | AAJC’s annual American Courage Awards event.
Advancing Justice Applauds the Protection of Health Care For Millions of Americans

Washington, D.C. – July 28, 2017 – Asian Americans Advancing Justice (Advancing Justice) applauds the U.S. Senate vote of 51 to 49 votes to defeat H.R. 1628, the Health Care Freedom Act, also known as the “skinny repeal” bill to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA or Obamacare). In a late night vote, three Republicans — Senators Collins, Murkowski, and McCain — joined all 48 Democrats to block the Senate Republicans from taking away critical health coverage from millions of Americans.
