WASHINGTON, D.C. – Asian American Advancing Justice | AAJC (Advancing Justice | AAJC) is pleased to announce Michelle Boykins, an experienced communications and grassroots media strategist, has been named director of strategic communications. Boykins will develop and implement the organization’s strategic communications vision, lead media relations and marketing efforts, and strengthen Advancing Justice | AAJC’s impact as a national leader on civil and human rights issues affecting Asian American and other minority communities.

“With more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit communications roles, Michelle will enhance Advancing Justice | AAJC’s ability to elevate the conversation and engage others on matters that directly affect the Asian American community,” said Mee Moua, president and executive director of Advancing Justice | AAJC.

A savvy media strategist, Boykins has an extensive background in nonprofit communications, advocacy and political and grassroots communications and campaigns. Most recently, she was the senior director of communications at the National Crime Prevention council.
