Rebecca Ma is the Immigration Advocacy Manager at Advancing Justice | AAJC, where she supports the development and implementation of the organization's immigration policy priorities and advocacy strategies, particularly focusing on at-risk populations and civil and human rights.
Rebecca joins Advancing Justice | AAJC as a former Senior Campaigner with Amnesty International USA who led AIUSA's priority campaigns on refugee and migrant rights. In this role, she worked with a team of colleagues and coalition partners to shrink the immigration detention system, restore access to asylum, advocate for immigrant protections and build welcome across the United States.
Prior to this, Rebecca studied and interned in South America, working with organizations in Argentina on sex worker and migrant rights and in Chile on academic and cultural exchange between Chile and China. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from American University School of International Service with a focus on Peace, Global Security and Conflict Resolution & Spanish Language and Americas Area Studies.
