The agreement includes meaningful investments in employee compensation and benefits, expanded leave and wellness provisions, and clearer pathways for professional development and advancement.

WASHINGTON – Preliminary hate crime data released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 2025 shows a decline in overall reported incidents nationwide, but the data reflects persistent and concerning threats against Asian Americans, faith communities, Latinos, and those perceived to be immigrants. These preliminary toplines identify ongoing risks, sharp increases targeting specific communities despite widespread underreporting driven by fear, language barriers, and inconsistent law enforcement reporting.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, the Trump administration escalated their attacks on our civil rights and the safety of communities by targeting the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for their work to dismantle white supremacist organizations and protect people from extremist violence.

Preliminary Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) hate crime statistics for 2025 show it could be the fourth-worst year on record, with a reported 9% decrease in overall hate crime incidents nationwide, from 11,679 in 2024 to 10,634 in 2025. Asian American Advancing Justice | AAJC (AAJC) cautions that overall reductions mask persistent, shifting, and in some cases sharply rising threats against Asian American, Latino, immigrant, and other communities.
