2018 Annual Report from Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC

2018 was a year of determined advocacy for Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC. We continued to react to and defeat attacks on the immigrant community even as a significant shift began to take shape during the year. We moved swiftly to file a lawsuit after the U.S. Secretary of Commerce announced the proposed addition of a citizenship question for the 2020 Census. Advancing Justice | AAJC was aggressive in denouncing this decision even as we worked to help our Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities grapple with the ramifications of the question.
