Andy Liu
Andy Liu is a partner at Nichols Liu LLP. Andy's practice focuses on representation of corporate and individual clients in internal and government investigations, compliance counseling, False Claims Act litigation and other complex civil litigation and criminal proceedings. Before co-founding Nichols Liu, Andy was General Counsel of the Social Security Administration and, before that, a partner at Crowell & Moring. Andy also spent several years as a Trial Attorney with the United States Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division.
Andy has also been active in Bar activities, having served as a board member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area, as vice-chair of the Committee for Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity for the ABA's Section of Individual Rights and Responsibilities, and as a co-chair of NAPABA's Civil Rights Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Andy received a B.S.M.E. from Lehigh University in 1988 and an M.S.M.E. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. In 1995, he received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center where he served on the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.
