Gayle Yamada is Vice President of Development, Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC.

Gayle has spent over 30 years leading business development and relationship management for organizations at both the national and local levels. Prior to joining the National Asian/Pacific Islander and Pacific Islander Chambers of Commerce & Entrepreneurship (ACE) as VP of Development, she spent several years as the Vice President of Development & External Relations at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) where she was responsible for exceeding annual top line growth and accelerating national impact to support scholarships and programs for underserved Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders across the nation. She served in similar development capacities at other national organizations including the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross, both in Orange County, CA. Locally, she led successful development strategies at the Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC), a community organization focusing on social services and community development in Los Angeles, CA.

At Asian American Advancing Justice l AAJC, Gayle is responsible for defining top line growth for the organization and aligning strategies with its mission and priorities.

Gayle has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine, a Masters in Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a certificate in Non-profit Leadership from Boston College.
